Help for the Helpers
People engage in work for others in a multitude of social professions, but also in families and volunteer work. Sometimes this work can turn into a burden, and might lead some into critical states of depression or burn-out.
Mindfulness, somatic body work and inquiry into one's patterns and belief systems can help to gain understanding. Insight into these processes will help us to prevent that our engagement with others turns into stress.
Participants experience sharing of the common experience on topics like empathy, compassion, responsibility and limits as very benefiting and nourishing. To meet and open up to like-minded people helps to regain energies and confidence in the meaningfulness of one's work.
