The idea behind the course


What if the “self” you think you are isn’t a single entity—but a living, evolving interplay of parts and experiences? According to the Buddha, what we call the “self” is not a fixed thing but an ever-changing process shaped by conditions and mental formations (sankhara).


Internal Family Systems (IFS), a contemporary psychological model, echoes this insight through its understanding of inner “parts” that express our needs, desires, fears, and wounds.


In this three-evening Zoom workshop, we will explore how these two perspectives support each other. Through guided meditations, reflection and exercises for the everyday life, participants will learn to recognize inner parts as impermanent processes and to meet them with mindfulness and compassion. By bringing together ancient wisdom and modern psychology, we’ll cultivate the capacity to rest in awareness rather than identification, and to relate to all parts of ourselves with curiosity and care.
